Amanda Nefstead, L.A.T.


Amanda graduated from South Dakota State University in 2013 with a degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Health Education, after which she obtained her board certification as a certified athletic trainer (ATC). While at South Dakota State University she worked with a number of sport teams; such as the SDSU softball and football teams. Amanda also spent a year with O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls SD working with the football, volleyball and basketball teams.

Beth Swanson, M.Ed., L.A.T.


Beth graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2009 with degrees in Athletic Training and Exercise Science, after which she obtained her board certification as certified athletic trainer (ATC). Following graduation Beth attended the University of Virginia where she earned her Masters of Education in Athletic Training. While at the University of Virginia she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams.

Andrea Allyn, M.B.A., L.A.T.


Andrea is a native of Alexandria and originally began her career in Athletic Training during a mentorship with Dr. Brand and Alexandria Orthopedics while also shadowing in the Jefferson High School athletic training room. She received her degree in Athletic Training from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2006. She completed her Masters in Business Administration in Health Care from the University of St Thomas in 2012. Andrea joined Heartland Orthopedic Specialists as a Certified Athletic Trainer in June of 2006.

Paul Westerberg, M.A., L.A.T.


Paul Westerberg graduated cum laude in 1999 from St. Cloud State University after which he obtained his board certification as an athletic trainer (A.T.C.). He provided athletic training services consisting of injury evaluation, rehabilitation, prevention, and emergent field care. He continued his education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha earning a Master’s degree in Health Education. After graduation, he worked at an Occupational Health Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska.
