Registration open for Heartland Orthopedic Specialists’ PEAK Performance
Heartland Orthopedic Specialists’ weekly program meets from June through July

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (June 2013) – Registration is open for Heartland Orthopedic Specialists’ 2013 PEAK Performance, a growth and development program aimed at helping young athletes acquire skill, maximize athletic potential and reduce the risk of injury. To register, visit www.HeartlandOrthopedics.com/peakperformance.

Based on the model of Long Term Athlete Development, the program, led by certified athletic trainers, serves as a systematic approach to maximizing young athletes’ potential. By identifying key benchmarks that participants must achieve at every level of the program, PEAK Performance tailors to each participant through an individualized focus on his or her unique growth and maturation, particularly during the young developmental years.

“We are proud to offer the PEAK Performance program again this year,” says Eric W. Nelson, M.D., sports medicine doctor at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists. “It is exciting to be able to share our athletic trainers’ expertise with young athletes, to teach them proper form and techniques for athletic activity and ultimately help reduce their risk of injury.”
