Physical Therapist Drew Paradis Featured in Echo Press for Advanced Dry Needling Certification

Drew Paradis, P.T., D.P.T., of Heartland Orthopedic Specialists, was recently featured in Echo Press for completing Level 2 Functional Dry Needling certification, an advanced professional course through Evidence In Motion.

The Level 2 course included extensive online coursework followed by an intensive, hands-on training weekend focused on safety, clinical reasoning, and effective treatment of complex muscle and movement dysfunction. The training emphasized advanced anatomy knowledge and practical application, allowing clinicians to immediately integrate new skills into patient care.

The Functional Dry Needling Level 2 course was an excellent experience that helped me expand my skills so I can provide my patients with the best physical therapy treatment options,” Paradis said. “I was able to return to work and immediately apply what I learned.

Functional dry needling is a manual therapy technique that uses very thin, monofilament needles to treat dysfunctional muscle tissue and movement patterns. In many cases, electrical stimulation is used alongside the needles to help restore proper muscle activation and coordination. When combined with corrective strengthening and stretching, dry needling can help reduce pain, improve mobility, and support longer-lasting results for daily activities, work, and sports.

We’re proud of Drew’s dedication to continued education and his commitment to providing advanced, evidence-based physical therapy care to our patients.
