Heartland Orthopedic Specialists Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary at Joint Replacement Center

Heartland Orthopedic Specialists and Alomere Health are celebrating their 10th anniversary. Since its inception in Sept. 2008, the state-of-the-art Joint Replacement Center (JRC) has been located in Alexandria at 111 17th Ave. E., now Alomere Health, where the specialty-trained orthopedic surgeons at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists have staffed, devised and managed specialized joint replacement care for patients. The surgery center’s well-earned tenure attests to the robust, steadfast success of the JRC and their Joint Camp, a unique and comprehensive joint replacement journey program. 

Created in coordination with Heartland Orthopedic Specialists to provide an outstanding patient experience with advanced protocols to shorten patients’ hospital stays and improve the quality of their care, the JRC averages over 600 joint replacements per year while maintaining a 99.5 percent patient satisfaction rate. Research shows that total joint replacements performed at high-volume hospitals have lower patient complication rates, which is consistent with Heartland Orthopedic Specialists' facility. The JRC also trends as one of the top joint replacement clinics in Minnesota for patient outcome scores according to MN Community Measurement (MNCM).

Additionally, the specialty-trained surgeons at the JRC have performed over 5,000 successful joint replacements to date, due in part to the number of patients who have gone through the JRC’s Joint Camp program. This seamless, step-by-step program sees patients through the surgical process, from extensive pre-surgery education to a complete continuum of care following surgery, to ensure that each patient will have the information, care and support they need throughout the entire process.
