Joe graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2014 with a degree in Athletic Training, after which he obtained his board certification as a certified athletic trainer (ATC). Following graduation Joe attended Northern State University where he earned his Master of Science in Education in Sport Performance and Leadership. While at Northern State he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Football, Women’s Swimming, and Softball teams.
Following his education Joe was hired on with Sanford Health in Aberdeen where he continued to work with Northern State University athletics. While there he was the Assistant Athletic Trainer and continued working with the same teams he covered as a Graduate Assistant.
Joe joined our staff in 2017, where he uses his skills to serve a variety of roles within the clinic. Those roles include casting, splinting, bracing, phone triage, and postoperative visits. Outside of clinic, he also assists in providing athletic training coverage for area high schools. Joe enjoys working closely with athletes and patients to provide them with the best possible healthcare.
Joe’s certifications include: Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer (ITAT), and American Heart Association CPR for the Healthcare Provider.
In his free time Joe enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is big outdoor enthusiast and enjoys fishing, hiking, biking, and kayaking.
