Specialties:
Joint Replacement, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, Hand & Wrist

“I support a team approach to problems, with the patient being the most important member of the team, and presenting individualized treatment options.”

As a specialty-trained orthopedic surgeon, I provide care for the shoulder, hip, and knee, including joint replacements and anterior hip replacement, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair, fracture care, the treatment and care of hand injuries and disorders, and more. With my background as a mechanical engineer, I am able to apply the precision instruments and state-of-the-art materials that I studied in engineering to the human body. I enjoy that I can see this science and evidence-based orthopedic care work together to directly improve the quality of my patients’ lives.

“Four weeks ago I had an anterior hip replacement performed by surgeon, Dr. Feierabend at Heartland. I no longer need a walker or a cane. For me, an anterior hip replacement meant faster recovery without as many precautions and fewer pain meds. I have only used over-the-counter pain medicine since I was discharged from the hospital. I am now cleared to "do anything I want to do." I am looking forward to long, pain free walks which I have not been able to do for some time. Anterior hip replacement might not be the answer for everyone, but it well worth looking into.”
