My Comeback Story: Mary R.

A Little Pain, Some Work, and Great Results!

I was experiencing a good amount of shoulder pain for over a year and after seeing another provider without getting any improvement, I was referred to Dr. Monroe by my PCP. My PCP said, "I'd trust Dr. Monroe to care for my family" and that made all the difference in the world to me. Dr. Monroe made sure I had all possible complications addressed right away. We started with PT and I requested injections to begin with. The 2 injections were a "breeze" and worked well. Once I was ready for surgery, the office was efficient with scheduling and made sure all appointments were timely. Surgery day came and I felt assured by Dr. Monroe that it went well. Throughout the process, she made sure that I was comfortable with decisions, that I was well informed and that I had all my questions answered. What I like most about Dr. Monroe is her direct eye contact, and focus on me, the patient, during all interactions. I followed Dr. Monroe's directions, saw physical therapy, did my exercises, endured the pain associated with recovery and now, 4 months later I'm so happy with the results. I've started back with light weights, golf, and yes, playing some conservative pickleball! As a retired healthcare worker and patient, I can honestly say I trust Dr. Monroe completely and highly recommend her to friends and family.
