My Comeback Story: Carole B.

Life Again

I can't say enough about how blessed I feel since my two knee replacements. I can walk without pain. I mow the lawn, getting on and off a riding mower with no struggle. I run the skid steer on our farm, getting in and out of the machine, pain free. I attend athletic events of the grandchildren, climbing steps in the bleachers and no pain. I even do housework with the effort I used to have before my knees caused too much discomfort. If I have to give advice to new patients going forward for knee replacement, it would be to faithfully do the activities recommended. I even added one more which I felt helped, too. That was riding my stationary bike for 5 minutes daily. My experience of surgery and going to the hotel overnight worked well for me. We live 90 miles away so I was close by if anything did occur. The next morning we left the hotel and went home. The advantage of the hotel, quieter then a hospital and the beds are comfortable! I would be happy to share my story with anyone that has questions.
